The well is located adjacent to suitland parkway and howard rd se. The monitoring well was installed by dccr during the investigation and design phase to provide information regarding subsurface conditions. Construction of the tunnel and near surface structures under division a are now complete. Therefore, the wells installed as part of this division are no longer needed and will be abandoned. The monitoring well will be abandoned by either removing the well casing or perforating the well casing in the screened interval and filling the well with a cement bentonite slurry.
