SCORE 79 On behalf of the district of columbia water and sewer authority (dc water), the dc clean rivers (dccr) project requests the approval to abandon a monitoring well (nebbc-46) located in the eastbound lane of v st. Nw 65 ft. West of 1st st. Nw intersection. The boring is located north of 2036 1st st nw. This monitoring well was installed by dccr during the investigation and design phase to provide information regarding subsurface conditions. Construction of the tunnel and near surface structures under division p is now complete. Therefore, the well installed as part of this division is no longer needed and will be abandoned. The monitoring well will be abandoned by either removing the well casing or perforating the well casing in the screened interval and filling the well with a cement bentonite slurry, or by backfilling with medium, hydrated, bentonite pellets in accordance with the well regulations (1831. 5). Monitoring wells will be abandoned following doee regulations. SCORE 79 Dccr project proposes to excavate one shallow pit (nebbv-22) for the purpose of utility location along v st. Nw, 8 feet west of 1st st nw. The pit will be approximately 1 foot in diameter and less than feet deep. The pit will be excavated using soft dig techniques (air knife and vacuum extraction). The work time to complete the excavation will be approximately 3 days and will require the full work time of 7am -7pm. The work zone will not impact sidewalks, parking meters and trees, however pedestrians will be detoured to north side of v street to cross 1st st.
