Anacostia riverwalk trail: a total of ten spt borings advanced to depths ranging from approximately to 1 feet below the existing ground surface will be performed at the locations indicated on the attached boring location plan, sk-1. Five of the borings, designated as b-5 through b- will be performed in the proposed trail alignment to depths of approximately feet. Two of the borings, designated as b-1 and b-5 will be performed at the proposed abutment locations to depths of approximately 1 feet. Three of the borings, designated as b-2 through b-4 will be performed at the proposed pier locations from a barge in the anacostia river to depths of approximately 75 feet below the existing mudline.

On behalf of the district of columbia water and sewer authority (dc water), the dc clean rivers (dccr) project requests the approval to abandon a monitoring well (sas-304) located between s. Capitol street se and the access road adjacent to the listed address 19 anacostia drive se. This monitoring well was installed by dccr during the investigation and design phase to provide information regarding subsurface conditions. Construction of the tunnel and near surface structures under division a is now complete. Therefore, the well installed as part of this division is no longer needed and will be abandoned. The monitoring well will be abandoned by either removing the well casing or perforating the well casing in the screened interval and filling the well with a cement bentonite slurry, or by backfilling with medium, hydrated, bentonite pellets in accordance with the well regulations (1831. 5).
