Fourteen 6-inch diamter soil test borings will be drilled on lots 074, 854, 855, 857 and 858. The borings will be drilled around the edges of the existing buildings using hollow stem auger method. Borings will be extended to an average depth of feet below the existing ground level. Spoils generated will be containerized in drums, and boreholes will be grouted with a bentonite slurry of 2 lbs of bentonite powder to 1 gallon of water in accordance with ddoe permit. Drill and sample four soil borings on site using hollow stem augers on a truck mounted or track mounted drill rig. The estimated depth of the borings is approximately 25 feet. Sampling will be collected every 5 feet by either standard penetration test, spt, split spoon sampler. Each borehole will be backfilled after drilling and sampling is completed by using bentonite powder and water slurry from the bottom using tremie pipe with positive displacement pump, as described below. All drill cuttings generated by the borehole activities will be containerized and appropriately disposed of in accordance with the generatorÆs waste profile information. All borings and probe holes will be grouted to the ground surface immediately upon completion. Boreholes will be backfilled using a grout mixture of bentonite and potable water. Once the borehole is completed, the bentonite slurry will be poured directly into the borehole to an elevation of one foot from the top and then capped with portland cem Date: November 24, 2014 Client: Douglas Development Corporation | Applicant: Gei Consultants, Inc | Permit type: Miscellaneous | Permit status: Permit issued | Permit id: Sb1500053 | |||||
