After exploration is completed, the borings/auger probes will be backfilled with bentonite slurry, which has a consistency of two pounds bentonite powder to one gallon water. Borehole/auger probe abandonment will be performed by tremie-grouting via a positive-displacement pump from the bottom of the borehole/auger probe.
