Dccr proposes to drill 4 soil borings at 7 rhode island ave ne. One boring, nebbc-19, will be 6 inches diameter and 1 feet deep and drilled using sonic boring techniques. A permanent casing will be place feet into the potomac clays and an monitoring well will be installed at 100-1 feet upon boring completion. Borings nebbd-55e, nebbd-56e and nebbd-57e will be 2 inches diameter, feet deep and drilled using direct push boring methods. The direct push borings will be backfilled with hydrated bentonite powder upon boring completion. All drill cuttings will be containerized and removed from the site for proper testing and disposal.
