Prior to the winter of 2013/2014, our street had been repaved and it had no potholes or sinkholes. There were two water main breaks in front of our house. Because of the water main breaks, pwd excavated multiple holes in our street. Our first point of contention is that pwd filled these holes in with dirt only and left them uncovered for many months before finally paving over the work area. Because the holes were left uncovered for so long; cars,trucks,and school buses drove over the work area, compacting the dirt until the depression was so deep that vehicles had to swerve around to avoid getting a flat tire.
