To temporarily straighten shore existing masonry fence at the st. Philip property line as per scope of work stamped vcc approved 07 12 17. Note: approved work is a temporary solution to allow the owner applicant to investigate and determine why the wall is failing. Wall to be reanalyzed in no more than five (5) years (july 2022)

To repair wood stair on the st. Philip elevation to match previously existing conditionwork to include: removal of inappropriate 2x4 balusters and installation of new decorative balusters matched to existing decorative balustersremoval of added structural bracingnote: if additional structural support is necessary applicant to apply separately note: permit issued in response to violations. Work shall commence no less than days after permit is issued. Work must be completed no more than days after work begins. Owner will call vcc for final inspection upon completion of work. Penalty fees may apply because of improper or unauthorized work.

To repair exterior stairs on the st. Louis elevation of the main building by repairing replacing stringers and treads as necessary to match existing conditions and to install new decorative balusters matched to existing and spaced to prevent the passage of a 4 sphere as per vcc provided materials stamped vcc approved 11 17 17. Added structural bracing to be removed. If additional structural support is necessary following the repair of the stairs, applicant to apply separately. At landing, unpermitted 2x4 balusters to be removed and replaced with matching decorative balusters, spaced to prevent the passage of a 4 sphere as per vcc provided materials stamped vcc approved 11 17 17. All repair replacement work shall match existing in color, size, material, detail, profile and exposure. Failure to exactly match materials, details, profiles, exposures, or vcc mortar as specified in permit will result in a vcc violation and mandated repair of improper work. I am requesting permission to replace the missing wood balusters on my exterior stairs. I have custom made the replacements to exactly match the existing decorative ones. The plain balusters on the landing (at the top of the stairs) do not match those on the stairs. The previously issued permit directed me to remove these undamaged balusters and replace them with the decorative type. As this condition existed at the time of my purchase of the property, i am asking permission to leave the undamaged balusters on the landing in place.
