If so, how will exits be protected. 2)portions of the building are within about 15 feet of a public sidewalk. Pedestrian protection requirements of the building code (see chapter 33 table 3306. 1 nc state building code) would require some kind of pedestrian protection if the work is not more than the height of construction away from the pedestrian path.
