SCORE 59 Firth Sterling Avenue Se And Stevens Road Se Washington Dc General services administration is required to conduct an archaeological survey of ddot row along firth sterling ave se between eaton road se and an unnamed alley west of stevens rd se and the access road to st. Elizabeths campus. The investigations are required by dc historic preservation office prior to proposed improvements of the firth sterling ave se intersection associated with the ongoing dhs headquarters at st. Elizabeths project. The work will consist of excavating 21 shovel test pits within unpaved (grass-covered) ddot row. This work will not impact any paved areas. Each shovel test pit will be hand-excavated to a depth of approximately 3 feet. The pits will be approximately 16 inches square. All pits will be refilled once the excavation is complete. Initially sod will be removed and subsequently replaced after the pit has been filled. It is estimated that work will be conducted over 2 days. No pits will be left open over night.
