SCORE 64 3209 Highland Place Nw Washington Dc Prune two trees located along sidewalk of highland place nw outside of our playground fence but to the right of the sidewalk. There is no tree box in this area. One tree (oak) has a branch that overhangs the sidewalk affecting pedestrian traffic. This oak also has a branch that overhangs the street and rests on cable/phone wires going into the neighbors house across the street. When a large truck passes, it catches the tree limbs which catch the wires which are then pulled out of the neighbors house. This has happened numerous times. We want to remove oak tree limbs overhanging street and sidewalk and leaning on wires. The other tree (elm) leans to the neighbors house and has deadwood. We want to remove deadwood and drop crotch prune the side of tree over street to reduce canopy reach and help restore crown balance. We believe this will improve safety for the neighbor. Our neighbors have actually asked us to do this work.
