SCORE 75 1 Walnut Av Roxbury Ma 02119 I will be hosting my 6th annual back to school block party for peace. For the past 5 years i along with several sponsors including the city of boston have been able to give away free back packs with school supplies. Last year we distributed 5 backpacks. Due to an increasing need in this community i am requesting to have my event on walnut avenue betweeen dale and circuit streets. As the director of promotions for the peace collaborative where we recently hosted our annual "got peace" basketball tournament with mayor walsh and governor baker and as the co-chair for civic engagement for the naacp i feel obligated to reach out engage and help the youth of this community. With the mayors "my brothers keeper initiative" that was launched last year i believe this event falls inline with everything it represents. I have been ale to successfully help several young people in this community and this event provides free food activities back packs but most of promotes peace and gives hope.
