Two borings will be drilled to ft using 8 1/2 inch hollow stem augers. Soil will be sampled using the split spoon sampling method. After sampling a perforated 2 inch diameter casing will be inserted in the borehole and surrounded with sand. A flush mount metal lid and concrete casing will be installed at the ground level. Water levels will be recorded for a period of one year. After all recordings are completed the boring will be tremie grouted from the bottom up using a two to one bentonite water mixture and abandoned. It should be noted that the site has no physical address it is simply southwest drive sw, however, the address used for the ddoe work plan and dcra permit application is the nearest physical address and is owned by the same government agency the architect of the capitol. All work will take place in the lot and square of the us capitol building.
