The geotechnical borings will be advanced to a depth of 1 feet below existing site grades via 3. 25-inch hollow stem, continuous flight augers generating an approximate 6-inch annulus. After subsurface exploration is completed, the borings will be backfilled with bentonite slurry, which has a consistency of two pounds bentonite powder to one gallon water. Borehole abandonment will be performed by tremie-grouting via a positive-displacement pump from the bottom of the borehole.

After geotechnical exploration is completed, the borings will be backfilled with bentonite slurry, which has a consistency of two pounds bentonite powder to one gallon water. Borehole abandonment will be performed by tremie-grouting via a positive-displacement pump from the bottom of the borehole.
