Existing tile ceramic panels are in fair condition. Building entrances the proposed design plans to remove portions of the existing front entry vestibule and circulation desk and replace it with new walls and roof. The new vestibule will be overall smaller and align with the established rhythm of the existing building structure. A planned extended canopy will extend east along the face of the building entrance. The existing rear building entrance exit is routed through the existing exit stair connecting the lower level and 2nd floor. Current life safety and building codes do not allow this type of arrangement. As such, a new building entrance exit is planned located further east of the existing. Fenestration existing aluminum windows at the 1st and 2nd floors will be removed and replaced with modern high performance equivalents.
