This project will focus on monitoring trash leaving a stormwater outfall which empties a stormwater management pond on ddot property. No construction work will be required. A ddoe grantee, the anacostia watershed society, will be parking off of new york ave ne, walking across a grass area, and installing a temporary trash trap in front of the outfall. The trash trap will be secured in front of the outfall with stakes and ropes. The trap will be deployed before a storm three times per year. During each of the three sampling events, the trap will be deployed before a storm and will not be left at the site for more than 24 hours.
