Building approval for painting the interior and exterior of residence.

Proposal to renovate building with limited changes to exterior openings per application & drawings received 02 27 15.

To prepare for painting by sanding (rotary sanders cannot be used), making minor millwork and masonry repairs as necessary to match existing conditions (masonry mix must be soft, with maximum portland cement content not to exceed 1 part to 12) and to paint as follows: walls: sw 6253 "olympus white," flat or satin finishwooden elements including doors, windows, frames, shop windows, fascia soffit outriggers of gallery: sw 7002 "downy," semiglossshutters: sw 7073 "network gray" ,semiglossfailure to exactly match permit specified colors will result in a vcc violation and mandated repainting. This permit prohibits the application of the following exterior coating materials and paints: sealers, ceramic coatings paints, elastomeric coatings paints, waterproofing water repellent coatings.

Repair replace brick party wall to match existing to stabilize. Install 3 x 3 brick landings with one step each at rear doors of property to replace non-conforming conc. Steps. Replace non-conforming rear wall mounted light fixtures with vcc approved fixtures. Remove non-conforming outdoor stereo speakers--not to be replaced.

To resolve violations, per attached materials stamped vcc approved 09 15 17, as follows:remove failing masonry wall on burgundy-side property line, and 4-0" along st. Philip property line. Install new 10-0" masonry wall, with 4" cmu and brick veneer (reuse existing bricks where possible), and portland cement mortar cap. All other mortar to be vcc mortar formula (attached). Remove existing unpermitted stoops and install two masonry stoops. Remove existing speakers and flood lights and install remcraft 1 series fixtures in existing locations. All fixtures shall use lamps with the following criteria: 3000k color temperature, 80+ color rendering index, and 600-8 lumens per bulb.
