The existing house was permitted in 1961 by building permit number bp-61-5635. Subsequent to the construction of the existing house, a deed was recorded on august 12, 1963 at reception number 733536, which described the property in its original configuration approved by recording of the plat map for the gunbarrel green subdivision. Subsequent to the change in the legal description, which moved the lot line from the recorded plat, a building permit was issued for a remodel and addition to the residence on the parcel. Because this permit was issued based on the description of the parcel from the deed recorded october 2, 1967 we recognize the parcel as a legal building lot. We do however strongly suggest that you continue through the exemption plat process in order to have the recorded plat accurately reflect the parcels current legal description and alleviate future confusion.
