We will perform a total of nine geotechnical borings at the proposed site advanced to a depth on the order of feet below the ground surface. The borings will be drilled utilizing 4. 25-inch hollow stem, continuous flight augers and will generate an approximately 6-inch annulus. If groundwater and subsequently a confining layer is encountered during sampling, 4-inch steel casing will be installed to a depth of at least feet within the confining layer. If bedrock is encountered, the boring will be terminated. If the casing is installed, the boring will be advanced to the proposed depth with mud-rotary equipment. After geotechnical exploration is completed, the boring will be backfilled with bentonite slurry, 2lb bentonite powder to 1gal water.
