The sugar maple has a large cavity at the base of the tree and a hollow trunk combined with a very low live crown ratio. The norway maple has an unbalanced crown due to utility pruning. There is decay on the tension side of every major scaffold limb remaining due to a previous injury. The home owner is willing to remove and replace these trees.
