The scope of work is as follows: due to a short in the service drop conductors and the service riser pipe a temporary connection was made by oppd w/new lines from the pole directly into the existing meter cabinet. No attempt was made by oppd to cover the 1. 25" connector opening at the top of the existing meter cabinet where the new wires were entering it. This was allowing rain water to run down the lines directly into the meter cabinet, down the service entrance pipe, entering the customers fuse panel which was getting water on the fuse bus/fuses, and coming out the bottom of the cabinet. This being such a serious fire hazard we felt immediate attention was necessary. The home owner noticed friday this issue and contacted us on saturday. Once we were able to get to the property, see the temporary repair, and the potential fire hazard it was creating i stuffed duct seal into the opening until the next morning (sunday) when i was able to complete the exterior service repair/upgrade.
