Three geotechnical soil borings will be drilled, b-1 and b-3 to 25, and b-2 to 20. No monitoring well will be installed and drill soil cuttings will be cointainerized in drums, sealed, and removed from the site at the time that demolition debris and new-basement excavation soil are removed. Soil borings will be drilled using a 2 1/4 in. Id casing with drilling bit. Date of work from 7/18/12 to 9/18/12. Drilling method: 2 1/4 in. Id hollow stem augers.

Reduce the scope of previously issued permit, b1210956, to include smaller excavation area and revised layout.

Two geotechnical borings, b-4 and b-5, with 6-inch diameter boreholes will be drilled to a depths of to 25 feet, respectively, below existing ground surface, or refusal, using hollow stem augers. No monitoring well will be installed. Waste will be containerized in 55-gallon drums, tested and disposed of appropriately. The boreholes will be tremie-grouted with 2 lb bentonite: 1 gallon water upon completion. The closest intersection is woodland drive nw and 30th street nw.
