Hdlc retention of metal shutters. I had storm hurricane shutters installed 2 years ago and i was a new homeowner and unaware of hdlc. I did not know i needed approval from hdlc. I received a letter yesterday stating that my shutters are in violation of hdlc rules. I am hoping to keep these storm shutters for safety reasons. I travel alot for work and sometimes my girlfriend needs to prepare the house for a storm when i am away. She is only 5 feet 2 inches and this is the easiest solution we found for her to keep the house safe if i am away. I spoke with ana today and she advised to start an application here. I have to work on the date of the november retention meeting but i can attend the december one.
