Masonry repair on decatur side property line wall:uninstall metal cap and remove bricks approximately 12 inches each side of crack down to where crack starts, about 4 feet. Rebuild section of wall using existing brick and vcc mortar formula. Any broken brick should be replaced with like kind. Reinstall metal cap flashing (previously approved by vcc in 2013) and caulk all flashing joints with np-1 elastomeric caulk, as needed. All reinstalled masonry must be properly "toothed in" to existing masonry wall, using vcc mortar formula (attached). Cracked or broken bricks shall be replaced to match existing in color, size, material, porosity, detail, profile and exposure. Note: permit issued in response to violations. Work shall commence no less than days after permit is issued. Work must be completed no less than days after work begins. Owner will call vcc for final inspection upon completion of work.
