SCORE 59 On behalf of the district of columbia water and sewer authority -dc water-, the dc clean rivers -dccr- project requests the approval to abandon a monitoring well -nebpi-01a- located in the church parking lot, west of 1901 1st st nw. This monitoring well was installed by dccr during the investigation and design phase to provide information regarding subsurface conditions. Construction of the tunnel and near surface structures under division p are now complete. Therefore, the well installed as part of this division is no longer needed and will be abandoned. The monitoring well will be abandoned by either removing the well casing or perforating the well casing in the screened interval and filling the well with a cement bentonite slurry. Monitoring wells will be abandoned following doee regulations. See attached work plan for more details.
