On 11/09/2015, the department of licenses and inspections issued a notice of refusal for application #643811.

Permit for the relocation of lot lines to create one (1) lot from five (5) lots (1814, 1816, 1818-24, 1826 n front street and 1823 hope street) and as follows: for the complete demolition of all structures on the lot and for the erection of a five (5) story structure (maximum height 56-9") including partial cellar, decks at the fourth and fifth story levels and for the creation of seventeen (17) interior parking spaces including one (1) accessible parking space for use as a twenty-five (25) family dwelling in the same building with four (4) vacant commercial spaces (use registration required prior to occupancy). Consolidate 5 lots into 1 lot, per attached survey & plot plan; change use to 5 story bldg w 25 residential units, 4 commercial units, 17 car garage & roof decks at 3rd & 5th floors;

For the amendment of previously approved permit #643811 to include the installation of underpinning under foundation wall located at 1812 n front street. Original permit approved for the erection of a three story structure with a rear deck on the second floor level and a roof deck over the third story portion accessed by a spiral stairway. Structure for use as a three family dwelling. Building obtained variance in regards to travel distance per bbs case no. 26538 with the following proviso: the buildings fire alarm system shall include a strobe and horn on the parapet wall surrounding the spiral staircase located at the roof deck. Building to be fully sprinklered. All work to be done per approved plans. If field conditions vary contact design engineer prior to the start of any work. Separate permits required for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire suppression work.
