SCORE 59 We have an existing 6-8" retaining wall in the front yard which is deteriorating and poses a potential risk to the public. The wall serves to retain a significantly sloped front yard and desperately needs to be repaired/replaced. We have small children, including one who is handicapped and cannot walk, and we are concerned about their safety when using the front yard because of the steep slope adjacent to the sidewalk. Thus, we would like to level our front yard and thereby increase the height of the wall to 18". Many of our neighbors have stone retaining walls and our plan is to construct a retaining wall similar to what our neighbors have. We also plan to do a small excavation to bury the drainage line running from the house to the new retaining wall. Finally, we plan to replace the existing stone on the steps (the prior owner used interior-grade stone which is already cracking and coming disconnected.) we plan to replace with exterior grade flagstone. ![]() ![]() Client: Jennifer Lewis | Permit type: Fixture; retaining wall to 42", paving; leadwalk repair/replace existing, excavation; front yard (in public space) | Permit status: Assigned | Expiration date: November 15, 2016 | |||||
