A new basement bedroom will include one new branch circuit with 5 new duplex recepticles. Recepticles will be installed with gfci protection for use in a basement application. Wiring will be 14 awg romex or equivalent, and will be installed above finished ceilings or behind walls. It will not be in conduit. The new breaker will be a amp cutler hammer model single pole model equivalent with the existing panel. One smoke detector will be added to the existing powered circuit serving the other detectors in the residence. The new detector will be installed in the new bedroom. The monitoring "red wire" will be connected to the existing detection/alarm circuit as well. Lighting for the new room will be using the existing switch, circuit, and fixture currently in use for the unfinished storage area.
