Neutralize an alkaline product with a weak acid, such as masonry cleaner (diedrich 101 masonry restorer or prosoco sure klean limestone & masonry afterwash). Rinse the treated area thoroughly, removing any residual cleaning products and solubilized paint and, using ph papers, ph pen or ph indicator solutions, check treated surfaces to ensure neutralization has been achieved. (repeat neutralization and rinsing until surface ph reaches 5 to 9. 0.) if pressure washers are used, pressure should not exceed 4 psi. Always rinse surfaces from top to bottom using a 45 degree fan-tip nozzle. To renovate building and correct violations as per materials stamped vcc approved 05 17 17.
