The borings will be drilled utilizing 4. 25 hollow stem, continuous flight augers and/or mud rotary drilling. The borings will be performed utilizing a truck-mounted drill rig and will generate an approximate 6 inch annulus. After geotechnical exploration is completed, the borings/auger probes will be backfilled with bentonite slurry, which has a consistency of two pounds of bentonite powder to one gallon of water. Borehole/auger probe abandonment will be performed by tremie-grouting via a positive displacement pump from the bottom of the borehole/auger probe.
